About the Event
Tourism is facing a rapidly changing world. From geopolitical developments and climate-related challenges to economic pressures and evolving traveler expectations, destinations must become more resilient and sustainable than ever before.
Held in the context of Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the International Year of Sustainable and Resilient Tourism, the Forum will bring together leaders from tourism, hospitality, policymaking, destination management, and innovation to explore how tourism can create lasting value for destinations, local communities, and visitors.
Resilience begins locally but depends on cooperation at every level. From strengthening regional tourism ecosystems and supporting neighboring destinations to enhancing cross-border collaboration and international partnerships, the Forum will examine how tourism can adapt, recover, and grow in an increasingly interconnected world.
The discussion will also focus on practical approaches to sustainability: reducing seasonality, balancing visitor flows throughout the year, promoting regional and rural destinations, and drawing on gastronomy, local identity, and purpose-driven travel to create authentic experiences, extend tourism beyond peak seasons, and spread tourism benefits more widely.
Join senior decision-makers and industry experts from across Europe to exchange ideas, discover innovative solutions, and help shape a tourism sector that is sustainable, resilient, and prepared for the future.
